New Registration
I'm going to look at a 1979 450SE. I've bought lots of cars over the years, but never a Merc. I can sort all the general/obvious things, but is there anything specific to this model?
I'm thinking about
>known rust areas - where? (e,g, under the doors so I have heard),
>electrics (does it have an EMU?)
>gearbox (any specific performance issues, like slow to change or jerky)
> engine - obvious pointers to wear (do they smoke for example?)
.... I'm sure you know what I mean, something to look out for that could be expensive!
This one appears to be nearly mint with 100k on the clock. Anyone any ideas about a realistic price (he's open to offers)
