CLK Help & Advice

Well after a lot of thought, I have decided I will try to stretch to a CLK.
My budget is about £12,500 so I guess i'm looking at 97-98 models.

I was just after any gerneral thoughts and advice.
What do I need to look for?
Would the 230 Kompressor be the best option?
Are they very expensive if anything goes wrong?
etc. etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
