I'm guessing the 2008 COMAND doesn't play video DVDs.

All COMAND units have the Video button irrespective of their ability to play video. My 2005 S203 wouldn't, my 2005 W219 does...

I have a 2005 CLK which also doesn't play DVD, and I'm pretty sure that all 209 CLK that have COMAND use the NTG2 version which doesn't play DVD.

Video button would be to access TV function where fitted. Mine gives me access to the fizzy screen from an analogue tuner

You can add a digi tuner to your car if you wanted TV.

You have to have the TV tuner already installed to be able to add the digi tuner.

The TV tuner fitted back then was for the old analogue system

Yes I've read your how to about this with interest, but I think the novelty would soon wear off for me, and additionally I'm a bit anal about keeping my car "stock". Regards Dave

To be honest, watching TV in the car novelty soon wears off, I only ever used it once on my first SL and have not used it at all in my CL where it is a works fitting.
