Hi,
recently on insertion of my key all systems where going scatty and nothing would work correctly. I had to send for a technician in order to completely reset the system before anything would work. It was established that the culprit was the key and hey presto, all resolved on use of the spare. The issue is that I now have to order a new key from MB at cost of nearly £250 (plus the cost of 2 call outs for a tech) and my question is this; Can the faulty key be reprogrammed? And, if not (i suspect not) surely this is a design fault?
I would appreciate any feedback?
