I am asking this question based on previous experience trying to order parts for a car with sports suspension

I have an E class and a C class both with code 486 suspension. When I replaced the springs and shocks on my E class, the dealer and indeed Sachs technical department seemed confused about the differences between standard suspension parts and code 486.

On my C class (S204 C320 CDI sports, with 18" wheels and code 486 suspension), the suspension is very firm. I'm thinking of refreshing the components on the front suspension and particularly with regards to the control arms, I wondered if the bushes were firmer than standard.

Does anyone have accurate information on this?

I also wander if the arms are the same as on the C63?
