Hi,

Looking for a cleaner look. Anyone here debadged their vehicles themselves? if so, what is the best product to use to wipe away the adhesive and give the paintwork a polish?

I debadged my 203. Simply pulled them off with my fingernails. Usual recommendation is warm air gun and dental floss. Nothing normally left behind on paint.

Lighter fuel is perfect to clean of the sticky stuff that is left, warm air and finger nails to remove them.

A good way is to get some of the "tape" that is around bundles of magazines - you can use it in an up and down motion behind the badge.

It's effective and leaves no marks.

MB Salisbury told me about this method.

Personally, I'd leave well alone - with the later 220's having twin pipes I'd assume you were bigging up your 4 pot, when in fact you've got the most powerful of the diesel range (all IMHO of course).

Debadged four cars using dental floss. Wiped away the residue of the glue with a little white spirit and then some regular car polish to finish off the job.

@developer - Your right, you would think having a C350 id leave the tag on but I saw a debadged E Class on the road and I have to say it just looked really sleek
