E-Class jerky gearchange

I have a 1995 E220 Estate auto with a genuine 74500 miles, when I first start off it goes into 2nd gear smoothly but it gets to 3000 revs before it changes into 3rd with a jolt, but after its changed gear a few times all gears change as sweet as a nut. It seems as though it either needs to warm up or build up presure.

Wow i think this question is asked at least once a week now!

This was a design feature of this gearbox to warm the engine up quicker. It can be deprogrammed at a dealer if you want. I know its v annoying!
