I have been advised that this is caused by pressure pulses from fuel feed pump, and the remedy was to fit an expande fuel return hose on fuel return line,(merc service bullitin AF07-10-U-1800AG),has anyone had same problem and resolved problem?
My 1999 300 TD knocks on idle but I have always just put this down to normal diesel knock and unavoidable.......would be nice if it could be avoided though!
