Electric Roof - Removing headliner

Cable for sunroof is off track and I need to take headliner down on a 260E 1987. Hints on doing this would help. Just not sure where to start.

Hi Ya,

I am not sure this is a job you want to start!!! But if you want to take down the roof lining. Then open the sunroof fully ( if the roof will not open fully or not at all, my advice would be to think long and hard before you pull down the h\liner, once removed then you are fully committed), With the sunroof open, grab the end of the lining and pull down sharply in the middle. There will be a cracking noise which is just the clips. Slide the lining out the TOP of the roof. It will need to slide back the same way. Although reffiting is a little tricky to make sure the lining fits and the tilt mechanism works properly.
