Hi all, need some advice.
My 124 E320 Coupe (auto/1996) is usually super friendly but this week the battery died completely, so got it fully charged overnight at a garage, stuck it back in this morning and then heard a whirring noise coming from the engine after I had switched it off. It's just had its full annual service last week and not used since, so was a bit annoying.
Obviously something has been stealing the battery charge and I thought it could be the factory fitted alarm (that no longer works) but it sounds like it's coming from this part of the engine, which I think is the thermostat housing? When I unplug the battery it stops. Any tips from your own experiences?
