Fading doortrim

Hi I have a 2004 silver S320cdi which I use for chauffeur work. most of the time I wash it by hand and use car shampoo which is free from any cosmic however on the odd occasion I have to use car washes and over time the black trim parallel to the window glass becomes a dull grey color does anyone have any ideas on getting the trim back to it's original shiny black I have used silicone and wax with no joy

Like you, I've found this a perennial problem. I haven't yet tried this, but if you believe the blurb it could be the answer.
