FAULTY ECU ?

All fuses intact, Minor items (indicator, main beam, battery light.) All work fine.
Does any one know what circuits the ecu control.

FAULTY ECU ?

Agree with Dieselman - sounds like a feed or earth problem rather than ECU problem. Go for the simple things first - ECU last.

FAULTY ECU ?

Hi,

There will be a main overload protection relay, which will contol the feed to these items. I had an E class with similar fault. On the cars there is a relay called a K40 relay which supplies voltage. Although I would pull out the fault codes if any out of the ECU. Before changing components.

Regards

PS. I must admit I am not sure whether your vehicle has one of these relay's. But I am sure it must have something similar.

FAULTY ECU ?

Thanks for all replies.
i think andy's closest as further investigation has reveled
a, switches on dash have lost all supply to Red/Blue ( +12 sw).
b, Circuit board at instruments seems very suspect.
