Hi, I’d appreciate some advice, my Vito tourer was broken into last night and some stuff stolen. I drove it fine but when I came to park it noticed the foot handbrake pedal on the left was really high and ?farther left than usual. It works ok..a bit stiff, and handbrake release works.
What did they do?!
And is it something that needs fixing?
Thankyou!

The probably had no idea how to release it and probably forced the lever and stretched the cable.
Handbrakes are like bike brakes - very simply.
Probably need a garage and the cables looked at for play. Best to change them.

Welcome to the forum it is obligatory to stick around

The low life might have wrenched the foot pedal up thinking it would let the brake off .Might need a pedal box assemblyif it damaged .Good luck with it .
