Hi all, I'm completely new to the site and to being a mb owner.
I have literally only had the car for a month and I've run into a problem.
Out for a relaxed drive today with the kids, trying to get the 2yr old to sleep and noticed a problem with the car.

Pulling away from traffic lights and noticed the car was not pulling away like it normally does! Continued heading home and noticed the car was really slow the the gears.
Then had a light come on the dash Epc visit workshop. Got home turned ignition off and said 1 malfunction. Turned ignition off and on the said no malfunction.
Strange, went for a drive around the streets and now the car don't change gear. Please can anyone help with any possible avenues to got down before I get robbed form a garage.

Many thanks. Dan.

Hi guys, I have taken my car to my mates garage today and abit more news!

2 error codes,

1, says speed pedal p1222

2, says speed sensor 2 and 3 implausible signal.

What possible avenues would I need to go down now to make the car better?? What would you recommend ??

Could it be as simple as new oil, gaskets and filters for the gear box or something more serious?? Any further info would be much appreciated!!

Throttle position sensor has died. New pedal assembly required.

Mine cost me £25 off eBay; there's usually one nut holding them on :)

If that's all it costs then I won't be driving the car the the previous owners wall!!!
I'm fuming it's broke already! Thanks for the info!

Did yours get Stuck in a gear?? It starts and drives fine when the codes are reset so I'm thinking the gear box is ok! But after driving for 5mins then shuts off again!! Hopefully it's just a sensors, new gbox oil and filters!
