[help please] thumping noise from front left wheel?

hi

only had the car a few days and have noticed that there is what can best be described as a thumping noise from the front left (thump/knock is in cycles in line with speed).

The noise is evident at approx 30 mph, 45mph and 60-70mph. There also seems to be a drone from the right at 60+ plus too.

Could this be unbalanced wheels? I have noticed that the steering wheel is slightly off center too, so tracking may require adjustment?

I'm planning on heading down to the local specialist for advice, but hoping for a few pointers from here to speed things up!

A thumping must be tyre damage, do check for a bulge on the tyre wall (could be on the inside as well)

What make and type are the tyres

lol - i think so, just checked, it has a round thing at each corner and tickety clackity thing at the front

Sorted now.

Its a C200 CDi estate.

Sorted now, it turns out i only had 3 studs holding the front left wheel on, which all were lose!!!

Tightened up and 2 replacements from local indie and all sorted.

There is a very slight vibration that feels like wheels are ever so slightly out of balance, its going into the indie on monday anyway for a diagnostics and general checkover anyway.
