Ignition faults

Hey, I have a 01 c180 that when I insert the key into the ignition it doesn't seem to be recognised and the ignition switch won't turn. Anybody else ever had this problem?

If there key has been dropped then the transponder coil could have fallen off, of the EIS switch failed, do you have a spare key

No I only got one key when I bought it. There's no trouble codes on it when I checked it.

They key could still be at fault, the PCB needs taking out to see if the coil has dropped off
