I meant to say this in the last letter, but someone told me that there was a fuse behind the lock (or round about there) on the drivers door, and said if thats blown you'll not turn the key!.
When I asked him he said it was to stop thiefs,he said "when a key goes in thats not the proper one,and they try and turn it,it blows the fuse, behind the lock therefore rendering the lock useless, and the owner alot of trouble becuase the inside door cover has to come off,to replace the fuse".
Iv'e never heard of anything like that, personaly I think he's talking crapp, does anyone know of this?.
This is one of those ****** questions that you just know you're going to make an absolute d******d of yourself but you ask anyway!,so this'll no doubt get a few laughs.

oh dear!

however, not to make too much fun, certain cars, and especially Motorbikes (fraid im a bit of a biker as well) have coded keys, which will not allow the lock / ignition to be turned, or the engine to be started unless the key is recognised. Thats more to do with Microchips than fuses though im afraid.

Ouch..same thing with a Friends Escort a while ago...i told him he shouldnt be using the Red key all the time as that is the master programming one...did he listen..no

did he lose the key one drunken night in a pub with a few of us....yes.
