MBU-3000 Availability

Hi Guys,

For what it's worth i thought i would let people know Amazon have some stock of the MBU-3000 here

I'd heard from many that the unit was discontinued and i've seen them going on ebay for silly money. I ordered one last night and received it this morning. Popped it in to the SL55 and it's recognised and seems to work.

More testing to do, but hey not bad, the price seemed reasonable too, oddly the manufacture date on the box was 2017!

Triamp are the manufacturer and they have stated that the MBU3000 will not be made any further. There are some new stocks of the MB4+ around as a group of distributors got together and made up an order of 1000 of them. These though are going to be the last ones ever made. The pricing on one site is £299 which is ludicrous as you can get the genuine Mercedes HFP for less.

Worth noting that that amazon listing is from Auto-electronics, not Amazon. Amazon simply ship the item. I dont know who Auto-electronics are but they are not one of the authorised distributors.

The outlet that calls itself 'viseostore.com' is not Viseeo themselves either. Its status Technology in Manchester.
