Good morning,

I would recommend a remap you will notice the difference. If done properly it not just 40bhp peak power it will be right across the rev range. Throttle responce will be excellent. However i highly recommend having the ecu removed and programmed correctly as there are not many tools on the market that can actually read the ecu. They pull an id and either map a generic file or request an original. However if onr number is out your vehicle will IMMO and there is now no way no fix the file in the flash and eprom.

If you have any further questions please feel free to get in touch. Anthony@gadtuning.co.uk

Put a supercharger on it then you really feel the power.
Mapping the car will make a small difference but the weight of the car does not help.

Good afternoon,

You see thats the issue. They are not pulling a read merely the ID which gives you hw no.s and sw no.s he then has gone away to see if anyone has an original. If he removed the ecu properly then he would have a read of you mpc, maps and eprom and then be able to write a file for it. If the original he gets is even slightly out then the vehicle wont start and then theres also no way of now reading ecu properly as it has the incorrect software running on it.

Time wise removing the ecu and programming and road testing around 2-3 hours.

If you have any other questions please feel free to pop me an email anthony@gadtuning.co.uk

No of course that's not we want either! Just trying to make sure the forum members stay informed as there is quite a lot of smoke and mirrors in this game.

Many thanks

Your vehicle could be running ME2.8 which there is no lines of communication via the OBD or ME2.0 which does so could have pulled a read.

Many thanks

Good morning,

Yes they do however there are a few running around with Either the me2.8 or me2.0.

BMW are buggers for it the amount of times we read a 5er as a 3er. Also x3 2.0d read as an x5 3.0d??? Crazy.

Many thanks
