Hi,

I recently purchased a 2000 model A-class A190.

I have noticed that sometimes when accelerating, there is a slight hesitation. (like its running out of fuel)

Any ideas?

Location
M1, Outside lane, somewhere between Leeds and Lond
Your Mercedes
Jaguar XF 3.0 S, LR Freelander 2, Fiat 500 & Fiat Panda
Could be a lot of things obviously, but I had an E240 that would be a bit hesitant. Accelerated ok, then a few secs later it was like Id pressed the throttle further. Diagnosed as the o2 sensor and then a week later the MAS sensor went. Replaced both and all well again.

Most common fault on A-classes is the ECM - engine control module

ahh yes -- seem to recall having that changed on our A190 cosy around £600 i believe - although Merc put up half the cost (it was out of warranty)

the car would sometimes just loose all power.
