I was just cleaning out all the drain holes I could find ... there seem to be a lot at the front
Would a main dealer check these at an A Service?
I remembered reading of heater boxes drains getting blocked on SL500s ... as they have the same engine does the CL500 216 suffer from this issue?
Only asked as she may be due timewise for a Combo Filter ( think thats a Pollen Filter ) ... I was going to bounce that for a year as its only done 10,000 miles since being changed. But if there could be a drain issue in that area? I would let them do it. Just to check all is well. But I have no idea if the heater box is anywhere near the Combo filter housing?
If she is due spark plugs purely time-wise, as she has only done 16,000 miles since last changed; but are there any negatives to leaving them another year ( apart from corrosion setting in? ).
My thoughts being, in a years time they would have done circa 20,000 miles which is still well under the useage criteria.
I think they are every 4 years or 25,000 miles? but I don't have a physical service book to check.
[she starts instantly, idles smoothly runs perfectly and does good mpg].
