I am trying to remove the door card on a 230E to get acess to the lock mechanism, having removed the 10mm bolt that holds part of the door handle I am looking for what needs to come off next. Nothing appears to obvious and I don't want to spoil the immaculate door trim.

Any clues appreciated.

you need to take of the thing around the wing mirror.

The whole thing moves upwards as it's held on with hook things.

Prise off the triangular trim at the door mirror and the small screw at the door lock escutcheon. If you already have removed the 10 mm bolt from the door pull - that's it. Give the card a 'dunt' upwards at the bottom and lift it upwards over the door locking pin. Patience needed when refitting to ensure all of the hook-type clips are engaged.
