I am having problems with a front electric window on my 1995 E220 Coupe. I have to remove the door panel to get at the internals too see whats happening (it sounds mechanical).

I tried to remove the door panel but stopped before I broke something. I removed the door handle (internal) trim, a chrome plate at the top of the door (door end with lock) and a black clip around the lock mechanism.

Can someone please let me know what the trick is with safely removing the panel. I know about the foil on the door itself when I finally remove the panel.

Thanks.

It is very hard to explain on a keyboard.Very easy if you are beside the door. The best way is to buy a Haynes Manual .It will show you in detail .Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I didn't think there was a Haynes Manual that covered a 1995 E220 Coupe (W124 I think). :?

someone mentioned somewhere that their only W124 manual fits most of the more recent W124s even though it stops at 93 I think.
