Seat problems...1989 300te...

I p/u a 1989 300te...beautiful shape...seats are mint...BUT, it is VERY uncomfortable for me...too hard, flat and the seat is too short. I came from a Volvo with longer seat cushion...You sat "in" the seat, not "on" the seat....This is driving me crazy. Are there any other Merc. model seats that fit directly into the 124's? I know I can get a Recaro, but the wife would kill me....

I suggest you get the seat spring base renewed. MB seats are very comfortable and you will be sitting 'in' the seat if the base is right.

Not too difficult to do once you have removed the seat from the car and got the leather horse hair base section off.
