Servicing and other issues!

Hello everyone
I'm old but only been driving for 3 years so I'm not very knowledgeable about these things. I've owned my 09 CLC180 Kompressor (which I love) for 1 car tax year now and it's time for an MOT. Whilst shopping around I'm seeing lots of places offering a Service A and a Service B. When are these recommended to be done?
Also I've had two issues over the year.
A metal bar came loose in my sunroof. It's now in my boot. It all still works fine so was wondering what it fell off!
My glove box is also a bad pain in the, it has a fear of closing. I think it's the loop part of the catch (on the dashboard side of the closing mechanism), it has a little play in it. Any easy fix anyone has for this will save my centre storage compartment from near bursting point!

Hi and welcome , I'm sure the glove box catch failure was being discussed recently on the forum , try and search on the forum search facility for info on it .
