I had a 2.6 190 back in the day. And even that you could feel the extra weight of the I6,

That v12 must be a Handfull.

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
Not convinced more is always more.......

My old w163 ML500 was quick, but its chassis couldn't corner at the speeds the car could achieve. It did not need any more power for sure

I haven't watched the video (yet) but fair play to the owner.

With the older cars, whilst they are at a disadvantage for chassis/grip compared to modern stuff, you can play with reasonable decently old chassis, pushing it to and beyond its limits, in control and still manipulate it the way you want. Modern stuff, by comparison seems like an on/off switch for grip and you have to go even further with decent modern stuff.
