W 208 dash illumination lamp

I have a CLK 230 Kompressor Cab. Right hand side heating control illumination lamp is intermittent. Sometimes the lamp comes on when I touch the ventilation control. I am not sure how to get to it. I would like to have a go at either changing the lamp or finding the cause of it.

If it's the same as mine, and I think most are pretty standard, the bulb for the control thumbwheel is behind the actual switch knob. Pull it straight off, two bulbs behind, one in centre for switch pointer, other about 11 o'clock for thumbwheel control. 0.5W capless. (The light is directed to the control by a refracting 'gizmo').
