W166 faulty boot

Hi All,
My boot is opened only via holding the button down on key, button on it or on drivers door…to which neither are working. By the boot lid when I press the open button, I hear a light click sound but nothing else. Anyone advise that may know or had the same issue please?

Boot latch failure is quite common on the w164 and w166. It’s a fully electric unit, but there is a manual override you can reach from within the boot area.

Thanks for the advice. Used the cut key and manually opened it. After that it started working of its own accord, only shutting to start with but today, it’s resolved. Thanks all, worries for a fat bill!
