Hello,

I accidentally dropped a small metal object down into the cigar lighter on my W203. Sparks flew!!!.
Now the socket doesn't work. I assume I have blown a fuse.
I have only had the car a few days and I don't know where the fuse is.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

M6 Cab - prior to that, SL63 AMG, A-M V8 Vantage, SL55, SL500 and many more
look in the boot toolkit - you should find a folded fuse diagram which, after a good 10 minutes looking, should indicate the fuse in question

Thanks very much to both of you.
My document was in the compartment at the end of the dash. I have identified the fuse in question but haven't tried to replace it yet. It is too dark right now.
Thanks once again.
What a brilliant website!

I have a similar problem but I do not have the fuse diagram - my W203 was a second hand so it might have gotten lost along the way. Any idea where I could get one?

EDIT: No worries - a quick search on the forum solved the problem.

I have located the fuse and found it blown so replaced it. The second fuse also blew and I suspected that the USB adaptor was at fault. However, the adaptor works fine in the rear cigarette lighter. I will get some more fuses tomorrow but I am 200 miles from home and don't have accesss to a multimeter.
Anyone come accross this before?
