Yes, that's all there is to it, I have just done my rear flexi on my V70, my flexi pipes from volvo were £65 the pair 20cm long, front antiroll bar link £75 its £10 for an MB so there you go.

after careful negotiation with the garage have had brakepipes front to back replaced brake pads on the handbrake and MOT'd for 209.00 so that seems a fair deal

Replacing all brake pipes

Did you get all the pipes replaced? My E240 estate (1998) just failed its MOT due to brake pipe corrosion at the back end. Local indie suggests car been under salt water at some point and its an 'horrendous' job to replace the pipes and he wouldnt take it on, far too expensive. Any advice greatly appreciated. I live in the Preston area so any recommended garage?

Thanks

Hopefully this isn't your local indie - http://www.124works.com/location.htm - they're based in Freckleton, just west of Preston. They specialise in olders mercs, but if they can't help, sure they can point you in the right direction. They're mentioned elsewhere on the forum, so not totally unknown
There is also another indie based in the Formby area, sure someone will be along soon with the answer. (A bit worrying that they reckon the cars been under salt water though !! )

I'm in contact with Ian from 124 Works - thanks for the pointer, couldnt believe my luck that hes in Freckleton, 5 mins away. Hes got the car now. Reckons there are 3-4 days work in it but he likes a challenge. Really nice guy, with very good reviews from here so thats reassuring - hes even lent me his car. I was really worried about the salt water as well, he doesnt think its too bad though and is going to replace the hydraulic pipes as well. Will report back when the jobs done. Thanks again
