W210 rubber seals around headlights?

I noticed that there is a large gap underneath the lower bit of trim surrounding the headlamps, and the top of the bumper (chrome piece). It looks like a bit of trim or seal is missing?

The photos don't show it well, but basically you can see the engine bay through that gap.

Is this correct, or should there be a rubber strip in there? Looks odd without one.

On my face lift model the bumper curves up into the bottom of the lights, so completly different. Have a look in the Art Gallery http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=9872
Thussa13's E300td appears to have a gap on the near side, but not so pronounced on the off side.

I think young man, that you need to adjust the bumper cover, its low on the right side.

Hmmm, could be part 225 on that? Not sure, I think a visit to a stealer is in order.

Yep, the 2 strips were hanging loose. I clipped them back on and now everything is fine Theres a buildup of salt behind the headlights but nothing to worry about
