Wifeys Un-Merc in the firing line today , popped into M+S for some shopping and on our return to the vehicle there was an absolute heap of a camper van embedded into the rear nearside quarter :(.

Seemed that the driver had left the vehicle and forgot to apply a working handbrake allowing it to roll forward across the carpark into our car , luckily the Nissan blocked its path before it rolled down an embankment onto the main road.

On their eventual return they didn`t seem too concerned and couldn`t remember who they were insured with , although they were insured according to the MID.

Initially we called the Police as the owner was no where to be seen and we were blocked in by the van , 25mins later we still hadn`t got through to Police Scotland so it was just lucky the driver returned. I called our insurer who also took around 15 mins to pick up the phone and told us to process the non fault claim online which would be great if the online portal was actually working so it was back onto the phone for 40 mins to get the ball rolling.

They say bad luck happens in threes so lets hope that is true as in chronological order :

Car ramps fell on the roof of my BMW making a lovely mess which will be around £1k to get fixed.

Son just been discharged from hospital in Puerto Rico having just had his appendix removed as he was working with Royal Caribbean on one of their ships when he had appendicitis , just lucky it never burst in the middle of the Caribbean Sea or it could have been a different outcome.

Wifeys two year old Nissan Joke has now been damaged.

One small alloy washer from local engineering suppliers £1.02p
£16 from Rolls Royce main dealer, no brainer really, ordered from Rolls. You just can cheap skate on a name........oops, I mean quality.....You can not have a fuel drip from the petrol tank :)

Check the new front shocks to found both had different resistances :shock: surely drives side can't be less firmer than passenger side....:confused:

Have never heard of handed shocks, have with springs. I always change shocks as a pair on same axel.
Usually LH shocks fail (one nearest the kerb) first the other will be worn so change both.

Marina's had handed shocks on the front - lever arm types. I can still quote part numbers from the past.... Don't know of any differently rated ones though...

Use to have a Marina TC coupe, they are the same, it's the actual lever is handed hence different part numbers.

Emptied the Rolls of fuel in the tank yesterday so I could replace the tank drain plug washer as it was leaking.
How can an empty fuel tank hold 5 litres of fuel :eek:

That’s only 1 mile in a Rolls buddy . After that your chauffeur will need to push
