wheel speed sensor gone

cars are strange things , out on sunday in him , suddenly I get ABS/ EBD unavailable , then traction control inoperative , anyway I plugged in and found left front wheelspeed sensor implausable ! so looks like hes dropped an ABS , doh !

My C class did the same this week. While accelerating briskly I get the ESP triangle flashing as long as I have the power on. Same issue, dodgy speed sensor! BAH!

its so random sometimes , new sensor isn't expensive at least , mine will be repaired by this time tomorrow

Better than snapping the power connector off the steering adjustment solenoid whilst doing something else entirely!

Hehehe, I was trying to gain access to the waste gate rod on the drivers side. removed the steering column linkage and then removed one very hard to access heat shield bolt. Though I would bend it out of the way to get access to the rod.

Turns out there is a hole on the blind side of the shield with the power connector sticking out of it!

I should have known about it, as I have removed that shield in the past to change the engine mounts!!!

took sensor off yesterday , what a doddle that was ! decided to fit new front pads which ive had to order but all being well the big fella will be mobile again later and fault free
