You probably know whats coming up here, new owner just wondering if the heater boost switch(ive been told system probably doesnt work anyway)located beside the cigarette lighter should be illuminated when off,or illuminated when on??

Light on means it's off. It probably doesn't work, mine doesn't and I don't know of one which does.
