I agree on the solid concrete barriers that have iron reinforcing bars, where is it all going to stop when we have speed limits from the 60/70's on motorways, in towns I have no argument.

Yet another opportunity to milk the motorist, although I fail to see how it can see through a solid concrete crash barrier!

The article says it uses radar, and can identify different types of vehicles. Short wavelength radar is used for monitoring tunnels and motorways currently, effectively in line of sight.

Google Navtech Radar for an example.

As it look like a trailer, there is a market for trailer covers to fit them. If someone were to put a cover over it that was advertising it as a speed trap that would sort the issue. :D:D
