Greetings. My 2005 W169, A150i 70k on the clock is making funny noises when I reverse in full lock – both ways.
I recently replaced the drivers side drive shaft as was what my mechanic thought was the cause – still the same.
It makes a clonk noise, probably every wheel rotation and sometimes...
This video came up on the YT sidebar, I see MB have a specific HT lead removal tool and the plugs changed without intake manifold removal.
Looks like a 30-minute job

Any comments on this?
Greetings
I’ve had a look at changing the spark plugs on my 2006 A150 and with the angle of the engine seems not to be a straight forward (no pun intended) task.
Can anybody offer any advice for doing this job?
Also, does anyone know what time MB allows for this ?
TIA for any input
Thanks for that, I am trying to find out which way to turn the notched cog to tighten the shoes as I imagine it easier to push the cogs away with a small flat blade screwdriver rather than trying to hook the cog with something to pull it back the way towards you.
I understood that the shoes are...
Greetings:
Further to my recent thread regarding my hair-pulling installing of new brake shoes I need to adjust the shoes so the handbrake is locking after a few clicks.
Two questions please:
Which direction do you turn the adjuster notched cog wheel to tighten the shoes?
If you have to pull...
UPDATE:
I have ordered a brake shoe spring installer tool
Further question: What is the best tool to use on the shoe adjuster cog once the drum / disc is back on ?
Many thanks for all the input
Greetings. In the process of removing the old rear disc I had to pull out the shoes that look like that have cut a groove in the drum part of the old disc/s.
I bought a new set of shoes that comes with all the new shiny springs but I have been trying now for about three hours to get this back...
Now solved
Thanks again for replying to those that did.
I took the car to my friend that has a diagnostics tool and it came back everything clear. I took the overhead light cluster unit out and took it apart, inside is a PCB with quite a few ICs. I decided to take a chance and ordered a 2nd...
Greetings
I am changing the standard (non Bluetooth) radio to an Alpine head with Bluetooth. I have metered out the connection block and cant find a switched (via ignition) positive, only a constant 12v. Where is the nearest point to pick up a 12v + that is switched?
Also, my new radio has a...
Thanks for your reply. Quite a job to pull every fuse, was hoping someone would know which fuse it is, even an indication of what amp fuse would narrow it down. Cheers. Andy
Greetings,
I recently bought a 2006 A150 and the courtesy light / interior light cluster isn't working. I took the unit out the roof panel and checked the two bulbs with a volt meter and they are good. I can't find information regarding which fuse it is for this.
TIA for any input on this...
Greetings,
I recently bought a W169 A class A 150, currently has 185/ 65 /15 tyres / rims.
Been offered alloys off a B200 - 205 / 55 / 16
Not sure if these will fit my W169? If so – what are the implications of changing the rim size?
TIA for any input
Regards, Andy
