"Rhubarb" this must take the prize for the most unlikely word ever to be legitimately used in a Brexit debate.:)

Or in Parliament, but it was indeed used (code name for offensive fighter sweeps). As was "Gardening" (aerial mining of French ports).

Now a truly ridiculous word needs to be used. I'll stand a prize, bacon butty at the next meet to the most original and inventive :D

Testiculating - Talking bo****ks, but with more expansive arm movements

Craptacular - Something so appallingly s**thouse as to be worthy of special recognition.

Testiculating in the lead so far.

steam locomotives

I think they have entrepreneurship in hand...

I thought the first steam locomotive was built by a Scotsman:
(in 1784 William Murdoch, a Scottish inventor, built a small-scale prototype of a steam road locomotive).
Or the first rail one by Richard Trevithick (Cornish)?

Matthew Murray's, 1790. Contained all the recognisable main elements of a definable steam locomotive engine. At least that's the claim of the Yorkshire tourist board ;)

According to Wikipedia he was a Geordie (though he lived in Leeds).

Well there you go then! Yorkshire is like the US, they don't recognise dual identity. He was a Yorkshireman through and through. Even had a flat cap and a whippet and kept ferrets down his trousers. Before any of them were invented. Which of course they were, in Yorkshire!!!

Nice contradiction of your post #5120.

Let me get this straight...
The EU migrants from the EU14 (who we can't 'control') make a nett positive fiscal contribution.
The non-EU migrants (who we can control) make a nett negative fiscal contribution.

So...
Rather than control the ones who make a nett negative fiscal contribution better we act against the ones who do?

Perfect sense to me.... :confused:

Post Number 5120;

That's funny you don't realise you have sunk your own arguments

No wonder you voted remain

I repeat;

As usual you dive on my posts with your blind zeal without thinking or even reading it seems, no wonder you voted remain.
How did you find the polling booth :grin:

Opps - misread the post number for your post count...

The post I meant to refer to was post number 5228.
I found the polling station with no problems at all. I even understood the question asked and which box to tick. I might be an immigrant but even for a mere immigrant like me it was easy.

As for 'pouncing' on your posts - well if you didn't spout such tosh.... :)

I think your version of reality is also a generalisation and not applicable to all young people of a certain generation. Some have good jobs and their own homes.
But I agree its difficult but also they expect more nowadays.
Yes, it's a generalisation but depending on the definition of 'young' it's pretty well on the mark. And why shouldn't they expect more these days? Every politician tells them this is one of the world's richest industrialised nations - Tough luck that the bankers in their 'to be respected' generation screwed everybody so that they actually get less!

And if they're ambitious enough to want further education so they can get a better job, they even have the opportunity to incur a massive debt before they get 1 X day's paid work (I guess most qualified people on this forum got theirs in the halcyon days of student grants?)! As they get older, I hope they remember to thank the power hungry Lib Dem party for that !

Interesting.... Best I can get is 3 for a fiver.

Hobgoblin and Black Sheep are my go to ales. I do like the Gold hobgoblin on a summer's day though.

Although round my way shops have started to stock Estrella, which is the only lager I'll drink, usually while I'm in Menorca.

Black Sheeps good too. My favourite on a summers day is Citra. Really refreshing.

Not keen on lagers (which probably sounds a bit odd coming from a Kiwi)!
