The colour you have chosen is the same that is offered in many models including the CL and S class.

I think it will make the car look classy but sporty at the same time.

Indeed and very up to date, If I have to have another CL and its black, the last thing would be a black interior. I have been out in my friends 222 S and it is the same as yours and rather nice.

Thanks for your comments.
Colour choice was a big thing with this project, both exterior and interior.
It took me months to decide and went through various combinations and settled on something and than changed my mind etc. etc.
But interestingly ended up with my original choice. I sort of ended up comparing every combination to it. So I knew that was the right choice for me.

Personally, I think your choice of colour for the exterior, trim and wheels is SPOT ON! Can't wait to see it finished :)

Love the colour combination, similar to the CLK I had

Very classy, very personal choice interiors, I love Red ;-)

Indeed. Lovely interiors on them in general, even in black, but I have to say there's something... luxurious about a cream interior.

Yes, you have to keep them clean though, and the carpets could be difficult.

Update. Dashboard has now been totally stripped down. This has now been re foamed and the new foam routered with the appropriate channels ready for trimming.
Steering wheel now fully trimmer.
Seat cover bottoms done in readiness for when the new seats are ready
Today we also started prepping all the parts that are going to be carbon fibre dipped. Carpets now dyed and ready for refitting. Audio system work can now continue as we have received the correct steering wheel control module and wiring kit. Reckon we have a least another two solid weeks on the interior.
Doors have been stripped down ready for sound deadening material and than we can start on the rest of the work.

Great project, I look forward to your updates it's great to see such a thorough job being done. The cream/beige coloured leather interior will provide a nice contrast and I look forward to seeing the new wheels to fill those big arches. What will the sizes be, I'm guessing 12in fronts and 14in rears?

Thanks Malcolm.

Pete, yes they are a very professional outfit with a lot of experience dealing with very high end cars. They really do know what they are doing.
I've had cars trimmer before, but these guys are in a class of their own from what I have seen so far and the work that I have seen before I commissioned them to do this work. Not cheap but I suppose like anything else, you get what you pay for. So far very pleased.

You putting a load of DynaMat in it, that will make a massive difference to the sound levels

Yes Dynamat is going to line the inside of the doors and other areas as well.
I want the sound system to sound sweet. Good treble, mid range and a deep base. Has to sound good at low volume not just loud. The brief on the audio was that this is not going to be a loud sound of system but a sophisticated clear crisp sound that can be listened to both as background music with the roof up as well as good with the roof down. The Bose system was good so this needs to be much better. So Dynamat needs to be used to deal with any possible acoustic distortion or vibration.
