My new white E coupe was treated with Diamondbrite a few months ago. I have followed the maintenance procedure of using Diamondbrite shampoo and the conserver every month. My feeling is that dirt may be easier to remove, but certainly not just with a pressure washer, requiring use of shampoo and a washing mitt.
After a long 2500 mile trip to France & Spain there were a lot of flies and tar spots on the car. The flies came off reasonably easily (they may have done so of course even without the Diamondbrite treatment, but with a decent wax protection). However the tar spots were a real problem to remove. I was told that using the conserver neat and leaving for 5-10 minutes is what is required but I still found that the tar did not want to come off without multiple applications of (expensive) conserver and much rubbing with a cloth. I had hoped that the advertised smooth paint surface would have made contamination easier to remove. I did have a bottle of Halfords bug&tar remover and that was absolutely useless!
With a white car, tar really shows up! So the question I pose is: what is the most effective tar removal treatment?
