Changed the oil,oil filter,air filter in my w210 e280 ,nice easy job ,polish the headlights if I get time as still cloudy

As per usual failure mode, a bit of rust on the bottom coil, impact from poorly maintained roads and the spring snaps at the rust area.

So far 3 new springs on my CLK.
From 1962 - 68 I thrashed a 1960 190B (W121) around East Africa 1/2 the time on rough corrugated dirt roads. Not a single broken spring. Broken shocks and bump stops yes. Very poor quality springs fitted to most cars is the problem.

Took the SL to get some niggly bits sorted. Got a B Class 2012 as a loan car. The jury is still out...

Just got the E240 back from my local specialist. The dreaded SBC pump was sent away, has been reconditioned and I will hopefully not have to worry about it failing again any time soon. They saved me the job of getting it washed which was a nice bonus.
