An old B-Class.
Lol, mine was £105k incl the £18K extras (I received a nice discount). I don't think you can spec a V6 that high, yes you owned V8s but pretty lethargic ones from your list, twin turbo V8 4.7l does not really compare, yes we are in that territory but trying to compare same model and pretending a V6 is superior to the V8 is, shall we say, stretching reality in anyone's book, probably akin to my pretending the SL500 is superior to the SL63.....

 OMG.

Where did I compare other V8s I've owned to yours? I simply mentioned that owning a V8 was not a box I needed to tick. Don’t twist my words.

The V6 has superior handling. Full stop.

MB took a well balanced V6, dumped a heavy V8 into it, adding 300lbs on the front wheels, & did nothing else. Other than engines, the cars are identical and there is a penalty (it's called handling) for the extra weight on the front wheels.

Where did I say the V6 was faster or had better power? Again twisting my words. I simply stated that people who have driven both, generally prefer the drivability of the V6 (especially with the 9G box which is a massive improvement on the clunky 7G). Read the reviews where the reviewer drove both (not just the one you cherry picked), join the American forum (several guys there have owned both) and take a look.

Test drive a V6 with the 9G gearbox. You will be very surprised.

If you paid 105k for a prefacelift, you were robbed. The article you posted stated the list price at 80k (which is the number I was quoted when looking at the facelift V8 models) plus your 18k in extras puts it at 98k. They saw you coming.:D

Your prefacelift V8 is definitely a much, much better car than the V6.o_O

I have a faint whiff of hot diesel when I open the bonnet so need to get on and do the other 5 seals I have had sat here since last year. Not an enjoyable job, I also have a leak off test kit to open up another can of worms.

It is always a dreaded deed waiting for that wiffy diesel in the Mercedes diesels  I first got my whiff about 4 weeks ago, but only decided to check last week. Once I removed the plastic cover I got the second stronger whiff

A very sad day, which I have tried to push it forward as much as possible since January, after my last trip over the Europe, …I parted with my cls63 …part exchange it for something else more comfortable, spacious…more practical for this kind of trips. Was a very fun car, powerful , arousing admiration everywhere but tiring on long trips and hated by my wife and neighbors, especially in the early mornings . That being said, I’ll stay around, always enjoying reading the topics and a very big thank you to all of you for your support, thank you to @alexanderfoti, Ian Star Reading, GAD Tuning, MSL Birmingham for looking so well after my cars . Maybe someday, I’ll own another Mercedes. Best regards, Alex

Very sorry to see you leave :(

Surely it should be a great cruiser? The only thing I can think that's better is an S Class? :)

Would you be able to plug my car in, keeps going into Limp Mode?

Spent a rather nice afternoon at Bob Forstner Park Lane

Unfortunately, my budget did not extend to the 463 :p

And also unfortunately, i was on a heater of a motorbike in central london. I'm sure I was moments away from passing out.

No problem, by no means an expert, but have been able to read/clear codes and read live data on my car.

DM me, and we can arrange a suitable time

Must be summer… as it’s definitely not spring anymore…:(

IMG_1134.jpeg

As per usual failure mode, a bit of rust on the bottom coil, impact from poorly maintained roads and the spring snaps at the rust area.
