I love the look of the coupe and the ones I've seen all seem to have a boot lip-spoileralready fiited!

Considered and that was it, a few sensible people here put me off.
I've always liked the Coupe, and with these the power looks fun, some of the early reviews were not that great, but that's fine.My next car I think

I would just by what MB say, and that is cars from the 35 to GT are all AMG's, I would say that if I was lucky enough to own an E53Not AMG .... "AMG Line" - very sensitive subject
My son just got the new E53 AMG Coupe' and in some circles it is not considered a "proper" AMG

You must be a "Strategist" John, what a good idea. I did already mention about changing for the W204 E63 at some point and she seemed ok with that, but we were on the second bottle of wine. The one I saw online had one of those headrest that blows warm air, that alone would be a selling point in getting the convertible!!Strategy Andy...
Show her a growling snarling E63, tell her that it’s your hearts desire - keep that going for several weeks, keep leaving around pictures, prices running costs, whatever......
Then casually announce that you find it difficult to justify that expense when this ‘lowly E400 ‘ will cost much less and much less to run, and look how beautiful it is, understated etc etc.....you get my drift eh?
I can only see the 3.0L twin turbo on Auto-Trader, running 333bhp, but there were a few adverts claiming the power at 329bhp, must be a typo.
You might be right there, I know the C350 Petrol were always the 3.5L V6. Good point about the power, quick call to find out.

There is no way I would have been “allowed” to buy an AMG but we started off looking at the Porsche Macan and SWMBO just focussed on the “Porsche” name. When I told her I could get a Mercedes with much better kit for a lower price it was a no-brainer. Just luck on my part, not any thought out strategy!
