Typical, that was a new reconditioned strut 2 years ago, and just out of warranty. :(
Get a part number for the strut and I’ll see if my tame Chinese supplier has them available... remember mine was £300 delivered for a new unit.

Which sensor? What was the code pls?

Craig I actually didn't go with the mechanic, I left him to it while I talked to Giles in the showroom. I don't think there was any codes showing, just left sensor. Steve did say when he came back, 'that was easy, no codes just straight to the source'
It did say first left front plunge sensor, after checking the electrical connection it was rechecked, this next showed left front sensor, and after a check on height measure on the scanner it pointed to the left front sensor on top of the strut.

Just put a Sandisk 128GB SD card in my Blackvue dashcam , replacing the 15GB card Blackvue card . Hope it works , because Blackvue says third party SD cards may not work ? Hopefully it's just a protectionist statement .
Never really watched it before , but at 4x speed some of the overtakes look very professional :rolleyes:
That's weird because Blackvue dont make memory cards so all the cards are from a third party.

Many thanks Craig.
I also have a supplier who I have dealt with for the ABC parts.
So this could be a good comparison
Part number for my left front strut is MA2303204513/80

I was only quoting the SD card , my knowledge of SD cards is smaller than the object in the photo :D
Blackvue do not manufacture memory cards. I presume they have a supply agreement with Samsung or Sandisk or some cheap Chinese manufacturer to provide memory cards with Blackvue's name printed on them so they can sell them for a premium.

Thanks Guys, sure seems a waste to replace a reconditioned strut for and reconditioned strut just for one small sensor.
I will contact MB and see if there is another option floating around.

Good stuff thanks , hopefully that means my new Sandisk one will work seamlessly :D
