It is desperately sad that the owner feels so insecure in an S500 Coupe that he has to badge it as an S63.
The 21" wheels are also awful
Agreed....the reg spacing is 'interesting' but I can't help reading it as 'Vacuum' which might be a personality thing......

I don't know why but, that number plate, V2UUM, rings a bell for some reason...

I lost touch a bit but thought the V8's were Model left and AMG right, but the V6 and 4 cyl were the other way? I even seem to remember the 'S' models followed AMG left and Designation right...?
Probably right and I bow to your superior knowledge!

I'm considering buying an SL350. I've seen one at a dealer that I like but although a 350 the rear badge has been changed to SL500. I'm a stickler for originality.
What's involved in removing the incorrect badge and would it damage the paintwork ?
Thanks

Hairdryer and some fishing line / dental floss, then rub over with WD40 and polish.
Should be no evidence of the crime once completed

Hair dryer , no need for one , so haven't got .

Fishing line and dental floss neither .

The ultimate probably have equipment is WD40 and a kettle .

Spray WD40 and leave to soak , boil kettle and pour , the badges almost fall off .
