I ought to clarify my “comment”. Not for me, personally, but if this is the one on at almost £32k, I would much rather find a decent, proper, AMG - 43 or 63. One like this, perhaps:
Very Tony!@SmartAmg ah go on… I could see you in the below…

Way too understated for Tony…Left field, but if you want one that’s likely to hold or increase in value, we have one at the moment that might interest. These are tricky blighters at the limit. Don’t underestimate them, they’ll put you backwards up a lamppost at the flex of the ankle. Hell of a thing though. Proper screamer!

You're not wrong there! These are tricky blighters at the limit.
I have two mates who have written these off back in the day, but another pal who ran one for many years, and used it for many trackdays and he was very quick in it. They are tricky, but they can be mastered. I think it’s to do with the engines relative lack of torque, and the way it comes to life suddenly at very high rpm. It can spin up the rear wheels, breaking traction at unexpectedly high rpm. Tends to step out the back end at a such a quick rate you’ll need lightning reactions to catch it. I’ve been in the car with these people. They are the ones whose dabs of oppo are those really quick snatches of the wheel. If you have seen them you’ll know exactly what I mean. I’m a much more relaxed catcher, tending to just loose my grip of the wheel, let it correct itself and then grip it again. I’m not quick enough to be a snatcher. You're not wrong there!
I had a track day a number of years ago at Jonathan Palmer's in Bedfordshire. They had Caterhams, Audi TT, Lotus Exige, Vauxhall VX220, Integra Type R and S2000.
The S2000 was by far the one most likely to be heard spinning off the track (I hasten to say I didn't spin it on my drive).
That said I'd have one in spite of the evil handling on the limit.
For what it's worth my favourite of the day was by far the VX220 - managed 2nd fastest time of the day beating 2 staff drivers in the process (and boy did they get the Mickey taken out of them at the end of the day).
One of three cars I regret selling! Blumin loved it!Left field, but if you want one that’s likely to hold or increase in value, we have one at the moment that might interest. well do yourself a favour , do not buy one ! i had one brand new , one of the worst cars ive owned , crap build quality , garbage to drive , only plus was the looksEnjoy the hunt and the car! nothing wrong with a hot hatch. The civic type R isn’t my cup of tea but each to their own as you say! For heavens sake I was bizarrely looking at Vauxhall Astra GTC VXRs the other night.

Thanks, for that, Russ, but the FK2 is not as good as the FK8, apparently, going off what I've read and watched.Honda Civic Type R cars for sale - PistonHeads UK
