My neighbour leased 4 or 5 Range Rovers in a row, without fail, at least twice a year they would go off in a flat bed for weeks on end before being returned fixed. I was amazed at how he put up with this even though he was not paying to fix them, but the inconvenience would be enough for me.Most of the Range Rover owners I know have had persistent problems.
Looking at the mighty Japanese rivals sends them into a cold shudder.
Eventually he replaced the last Range Rover with a Ford Ranger, and I've yet to see it breakdown once.
Best advice I've heard on Range Rover ownership is, don't ever own one after the warranty expires.
