Hi,
If I was fitting tow bar electrics to a 203, I would personally buy a dedicated wiring kit for that chassis, as the 203 has various issues with the SAM unit, and will require a relay or interface unit to maintain the correct operation of the bulb failure system.
In a chassis specific kit you should get all the items you require including relays/interfaces etc. and instructions on how to fit it correctly for your car.
Would there be a chance of having a copy of this wiring diagram as well? I am putting a towbar onto my 05 c220cdi this weekend. I have read about a socket which can sometimes be found with all the wires for a trailer to plug into. Where would this be found if there?
Hi Television - could you also send a copy of this diagram to me. Also will I have to remove the bumber to fit the towbar. It is a c220 diesel 2001 (51 - new shape).
If so any instructions on this too would be welcome.
Hi Televion, I managed to remove the bumber, fit the tow bar, and partially wire the trailer electrics to the relay switch. No for the fun part - wiring the relay switch to the vehicle loom. the cable colours are all different so I dont know what matches to what.
I have an estate - c220 cdi - 2001 (51 - new shae)
