Hi, hoping for a simple (& cheap!) answer to this...:D. Haven't done anything at all out of the ordinary but for the last 4 days, my alarm has been randomly setting itsself off. Early in the AM, early in the evening, windy, still, dry, wet, cloudy & sunny (all of that in 4 days! Good old GB weather). Anything "known" or obvious I should be looking out for prior to whipping it off to the garage? Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Faulty alarm units are quite common. Does it always switch off when you press the unlock button on the key?

Cheers for looking in Uncle Benz, the noise & lights cease their siren & flashing... I've pressed both the unlock button to "shut it up" & the lock buton & it always stops... Oddly enough, I've just realised that it seems to have started "around" the same time I had one of those free mobile health checks done. I got a completely clean bill of health from that though - was chuffed to bits too :-D. This could obviously be purely coincidental. All he did was clear some old fault codes relating to the CD player apparently but everything else was grand... Epensive fix if it is the alrm unit?

It's worth getting it plugged into a

Into a...? Go on! The suspense is killing me :D. I'm guessing a STAR machine, any idea on dealer rates or Indie's in Harrogate? Thanks again for looking in. Sorry, that was general query, I see you're not quite local to me :)

Damn iPhone!

... Star machine. Faulty alarm unit always shows up on star . About £65 and an hour to change including coding ( if it is a faulty unit)

I know this is going to sound silly....

Anything wrapped in tinfoil sitting out?
I'm thinking the foil wraps that paracetamol or kitkats come in.
I seen this one proven, in anothe marq, but the technology is all the same.

It might be worth using the switch to isolate the interior sensor for a day or two. It may be that its detecting something it thinks is moving (actually just something giving echos to the ultra sounds)

Its free to try after all :)

Thanks very much indeed for the replies & continued help. I'll scout around for chewing gum wrappers & the like as the car is used for ferrying 3 or sometimes 4 14 year old football players on a Saturday & Sunday AM... that's how my speaker trim went :(... Bless 'em  Cheers again UncleBenz & Harissis, appreciate it.

lol :D... never even thought of anything like that! Hoover'll be out this PM to see if that helps. Cheers for the suggestion. Don't know if it's correct forum etiquette to cross post but I wonder if you might look into this thread?

I have need of your assitance... the usual door card / grill removal pdf if that wouldn't be a problem for you please?

Cheers...
