Well MBS have expanded from looking after Mercedes now and have helped me find a CLK 430
Spent loads of time looking around at 430s and a couple of 55s...most of them all had wheels that needed sorting along with paintwork!...one was really nice but was AT LEAST a 10 hour round trip to go and see!....and all between 3-4k....
i "Think" i had a premonition last night....i said Dream but Colin got a bit worried:lol::lol::lol:.... anyway less than 24 hours go by and good old Colin gives us a call saying think ive found you what "could" be a nice 430...if your not busy come on down to the workshop
Tuesdays are always a little hectic as we have Mondays off...ive actually had friday sat & sunday off to go to a family wedding so have lots to do :lol:...excused myself from the last 5 mins of our staff meeting and off i went:lol:
X plated CLK in black overtook me on the way down and i though that looks ok....get to MBS and she was parked at the side looking for where the workshop was!!!..... 2 owners , 112k on the clock pretty good service history although its due for its next service, interior although very gruby is all in great condition ..apart front the drivers seat bolster that needs some repair. got all the extras..well most apart from sat nav..has the sunroof too body work is all straight with no major dings...needs the arches sorting out in places but seen loads worse! wheels will need sorting at some point but not terrible
SOOOOOOOO ...were back to a 2 car family..one sensible diesel and one petrol eating monster......(Both Black!!:lol... car washings gonna be even more fun:lol:
desent service & checkover
paintwork sorted and a good Mop n polish
drivers seat fixed
wheels refurbed ( a bit later on!)
forgot 2 more things... speaker covers indoors need changing, and the digital display needs fixing if poss..
will end up with a great little CLK 430 with nice extras...and even better ...for a very fair price...even with the service , paint and seat repair it will probably still come in at LESS than the others ive looked at with rust and dodgy wheels..and higher mileage!...and its as local as it could ever be!!!
stupidly i forgot to take some pics earlier so you will need to wait till Monday to see the beast...will post up some pics of her in her gruby state so you can see her transformation happen over the next couple of months...dont think she has been hoovered out for at leat a year!!
If all goes to Plan she will be back to her very best for her 1st ever trip to Cornwall on the 11th August
