How much was that little baby buddy ?Today we will be setting up our new piece of equipment purchased from MB at unnecessary expense, The retail data storage unit will be needed to update all our Star machines as cd updates will no longer be issued. View attachment 50403
So you have to plug the star into this, and presumably this then connects to the internet to update the star machine?Today we will be setting up our new piece of equipment purchased from MB at unnecessary expense, The retail data storage unit will be needed to update all our Star machines as cd updates will no longer be issued. Updates on CD/DVD's hasaNOTHER ATTEMPT TO SQUEEZE THE INDEPENDENTS OUT.
Ah I see, to this is a data repository that is kept up to date from MB, you then update star whenever it's required. Could they not have released a windows program or an IOS app to do this without the need for this hardware? This unit would be then replaced by a workshop laptop or another device. Unless MB want to control this for dealers and independents??I think it was about £1600, it’s left connected to the net, all car and star updates are loaded to it as they come out, then wifi’d To star machines.
That would obviously give it more computing power.Thought that was an AMG badge in the top right at first glance
